It’s a fine thing, marriage. And it will be different, you know (you know! (but I’ll bet you can’t guess)). It’s a wonderful thing: as your vision blurs and your gaits settle and you’re walking alongside this person who knows you so far inside out, you can ask for your own opinion on things. You made this promise back then, somewhere, thinking probably you knew what it meant, but now here you are – and you know where you are, like you never knew before – and you’re not alone. It makes you smile, every day, because you wake up to find the promise was (so much more than) kept. Bless you both!
